Flor Gómez, beverage brand strategist

How I work

Product understanding, commercial judgment and brand thinking in the same room.

16 years of experience across the cellar, the market and the studio. I work across decisions that usually sit with separate specialists: product truth, commercial strategy, editorial thinking, branding, packaging and digital.

The value is knowing what should direct what, and what the brand needs to do next.

My work spans wine, No/Low, coffee, RTD and soft-drink propositions. That range matters because a beverage brand has to work with a liquid, format, price, route to market and production constraint, not only in a presentation.

I lead the strategic and creative direction, preserve the work that is already useful and coordinate the specialist inputs the project needs. Technical and regulated partners remain responsible for validation and approval.

Production and oenology. Trained oenologist with nine harvests across Argentina, Napa, Burgundy and Croatia, including production environments at LVMH, Trinchero Family Estates and Grupo Peñaflor.
Commercial experience. Three years managing wine brands and export markets from the producer side.
Judging and candidacy. Master of Wine candidate (Stage 2). Decanter World Wine Awards judge across South America, Spain and Croatia/Slovenia, and International Wine Challenge judge.
Formal credentials. Licenciada en Enología (Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, 2013) and Certified Wine Specialist (Society of Wine Educators, 2015). Three Master of Wine scholarships: Lallemand, E. & J. Gallo and the Catena Institute of Wine.
Media and authority. Editorial and digital work spanning Vivino, Wine-Searcher, JancisRobinson.com and Decanter.
Verifiable brand work. Brand, packaging and launch work for independent founder-led drinks brands.

The occasion lens

Beverage expertise is useful when it explains the moment, not only the liquid.

The same drink changes meaning across a table, shelf, menu and social ritual. Occasion is where product understanding becomes commercial judgment.

Why occasion of consumption matters
Wine being poured during a shared meal
Wine served beyond the category shelf
